Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred
- previous experience in food service or hospitality an asset
- ability to stand for long periods and lift light weights
- excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- ability to work flexible hours including weekends and holidays
- patient and empathetic demeanor appropriate for senior living environment
- ability to follow food safety protocols and cleanliness standards
Job Qualifications
- Previous experience in food service hospitality or customer service is preferred
- strong communication and interpersonal skills
- ability to work as part of a team and maintain a positive attitude
- knowledge of or willingness to learn about dietary needs and restrictions for senior residents
- physical ability to stand for extended periods carry trays and perform light lifting
- patience empathy and a commitment to providing excellent service to residents
Job Duties
- Greet residents and guests warmly ensuring they feel welcomed and valued
- take meal orders accurately and efficiently accommodating dietary preferences and restrictions
- serve food and beverages promptly ensuring correct orders and presentation standards
- assist residents with their dining needs including helping those with limited mobility or other challenges
- maintain a clean and organized dining area including setting and clearing tables resetting for the next meal and tidying serving stations
- follow food safety and sanitation guidelines ensuring all serving areas and utensils are hygienic
- monitor residents for any special requests or concerns during meals and address them promptly
