Located in Arlington Heights, Illinois, The Moorings offers a supportive, compassionate community focused on enhancing the quality of life for seniors. Presbyterian Living operates several communities in the area, including Westminster Place and Ten Twenty Grove in Evanston, and Lake Forest Place in Lake Forest, all of which share the mission of delivering personalized care and fostering a sense of belonging among residents, families, and employees alike. As a not-for-profit, mission-driven organization, Presbyterian Living prides itself on creating a work environment that values collaboration, respect, and shared purpose. Their commitment to their team members is demonstrated through supportive workplace culture and comprehensive benefits that promote employee wellness, growth, and security.

The role of Wait Staff at The Moorings of Arlington Heights offers an exciting opportunity for individuals looking to bring their passion, skills, and positive attitude to a meaningful position within the dining department. This part-time position typically runs from 4:00pm to 8:00pm across five days a week, providing a flexible schedule well suited for people who thrive in an engaging social environment. The hourly rate ranges from $17.51 to $24.46, depending on years of experience, making it a competitive option for those starting or growing their career in hospitality, particularly in senior living communities.

As a Wait Staff member, you will be an integral part of a mission-driven team that values compassion and personal connection. You will contribute directly to creating a positive dining experience that enhances the overall wellness and joy of the residents. Duties include serving food and beverages in the proper sequence, maintaining cleanliness and order in the dining area, utilizing technology such as tablets for accurate order taking, and ensuring that dietary needs and modifications are carefully followed. Moreover, the position requires a cooperative spirit, working in harmony with co-workers and supervisors to resolve any issues or unsafe conditions that may arise. The environment emphasizes support and professional growth, providing opportunities to develop and advance within the organization.

The Moorings and Presbyterian Living distinguish themselves by fostering a people-centered culture recognized as a Great Place to Work. Employees benefit from a range of comprehensive support programs including wellness initiatives like onsite fitness and Wellhub, financial security offerings such as PTO rollover, 403(b) matching, commuter benefits, and financial counseling. Additionally, care resources like Employee Assistance Programs (EAP), tuition reimbursement, scholarships, mentorship, and career pathways emphasize growth and development. Community engagement is also a priority, with events and chaplaincy services available for emotional and spiritual support.

By joining The Moorings of Arlington Heights, you become part of a team that feels like family—one dedicated to making a real difference in the lives of seniors every day.
