We are currently seeking skilled Waiters and Waitresses to join our team. This role is critical in uplifting the overall dining experience by engaging warmly with customers and providing attentive, knowledgeable service. As a Waiter or Waitress, you will be the frontline ambassador of our restaurant, responsible for greeting customers, presenting menus, providing detailed information regarding menu items and daily specials, and suggesting options to enhance their dining experience. Your duties will require excellent multitasking skills as you manage various front-of-house responsibilities such as taking orders through our POS system, checking IDs for alcoholic beverages, delivering food and drinks promptly, and ensuring overall cleanliness and organization in the dining areas.

This position demands patience, respect, and strong communication skills to effectively liaise between customers and our kitchen staff, ensuring accurate and timely order delivery. You will also be expected to handle transactions and provide bills with a focus on accuracy and customer satisfaction. Because our restaurant operates throughout the week, willingness to work shifts, including weekends and holidays, is essential. Our ideal candidate will be a team player who can thrive in a fast-paced setting while maintaining excellent presentation and interpersonal skills.

Job Duties

Greet every customer that enters before they are seated at their tables
Present menu and provide detailed information when asked (e.g. about portions, ingredients or potential food allergies)
Inform customers about the day’s specials
Offer menu recommendations upon request
Up-sell additional products when appropriate
Take accurate food and drinks orders, using our POS ordering software, order slips or by memorization
Check customers’ IDs to ensure they meet minimum age requirements for consumption of alcoholic beverages
Communicate order details to the Kitchen Staff
Serve food and drink orders
Check dishes and kitchenware for cleanliness and presentation and report any problems
Maintain a tidy and clean work/dining area
Deliver checks and collect bill payments
Carry dirty plates, glasses and silverware to kitchen for cleaning
Meet with restaurant staff to review daily specials, changes on the menu and service specifications for reservations (e.g. parties)
Follow all relevant health department regulations
Provide excellent customer service to guests
