The Waitstaff position at Regal Cinemas is an essential role focused on delivering superior guest service in a clean and comfortable theater environment. This position may be classified as variable hour, part-time fixed, part-time regular, or full-time hourly depending on individual theater needs and employee availability. Waitstaff members are responsible for providing attentive and friendly service to guests, ensuring their orders are fulfilled efficiently and accurately while maintaining compliance with all relevant policies and legal requirements. Since many Regal theaters sell alcohol, waitstaff members who serve alcoholic beverages must be of legal age, complete all mandatory training programs including the Regal Responsible Beverage Server certification, and hold all necessary permits and licenses. These team members must also successfully pass background checks as part of the employment process.

Duties for the waitstaff include knowledge and enforcement of state and local laws regarding alcohol sales, accurate handling of money and inventory, promotion of the Regal Crown Club loyalty program, adherence to the Motion Picture Association of America (MPAA) rating system, and ensuring a safe and welcoming environment for all guests. Waitstaff must demonstrate excellent sales skills, including upselling and suggestive selling techniques, along with maintaining cleanliness and proper use of concession-related equipment and storerooms. Compliance with all food safety laws and theater policies including grooming and dress code standards is mandatory.
