The brand has established itself as a favorite dining destination by blending a warm, welcoming atmosphere with a unique cultural identity inspired by the Australian outback. With a focus on providing exceptional food and service, Outback Steakhouse has built a reputation for quality steaks, fresh ingredients, and memorable dining experiences that resonate with guests across the country. The company prides itself on its culture which is deeply rooted in respect, camaraderie, and a commitment to making every guest feel valued and at home. Outback Steakhouse also emphasizes the growth and success of its employees, known as Outbackers, providing a supportive environment that fosters professional development and teamwork.
Come be a part of the Outback Steakhouse family as a Wait Staff member, where hospitality, teamwork, and fun converge to create an engaging workplace environment. In this role, you will be instrumental in delivering friendly, personalized service that ensures every guest feels welcome and appreciated from the moment they enter to their final farewell. The wait staff position at Outback Steakhouse involves more than just taking orders; it’s about creating memorable dining experiences by providing attentive, prompt, and courteous service tailored to each guest's needs. Your responsibilities will include greeting guests, accurately taking food and beverage orders, sharing your knowledge of the menu to confidently recommend items, and ensuring timely delivery of orders. Maintaining high standards of cleanliness, safety, and sanitation throughout your shift is paramount, and you will also assist with food preparation support and table maintenance that adheres to Outback's established standards.
As a member of the team, you will collaborate with fellow Outbackers in a fast-paced, physically active environment that emphasizes a culture of respect and teamwork. This role demands physical stamina as you will be standing, walking, and engaging actively for extended periods, as well as moving or lifting items up to 30 lbs. For certain locations, including California, responsible beverage service certification is required, with training provided within the initial 60 days of employment. This position is ideal for individuals who thrive in dynamic restaurant settings and take pride in delivering outstanding hospitality with a smile.
Working at Outback Steakhouse means becoming part of a family that values hard work but also recognizes the importance of work-life balance. Employees enjoy comprehensive benefits such as health, dental, and vision insurance, life insurance, paid time off, meal compensation benefits, and the opportunity to earn tips. Notably, Outback Steakhouse is closed on Thanksgiving and Christmas Day, allowing team members to spend quality time with their family and friends. Join Outback Steakhouse as a Wait Staff and help us continue to serve up our signature AUS-SOME service in a welcoming, energetic environment where every guest experience counts.
