Job Description
The Neil Jones Food Company is a distinguished leader in the food processing industry, specializing in superior quality fresh-packed, vine-ripened California tomatoes and Pacific Northwest fruit. Headquartered in Vancouver, Washington, the company boasts a rich history of over 50 years of providing the nation’s discerning foodservice, retail, industrial, and institutional customers with the finest quality canned and pouched products. Operating across three production facilities—Northwest Packing in Vancouver, WA; San Benito Foods in Hollister, CA; and Toma-Tek in Firebaugh, CA—Neil Jones Food Company is committed to excellence, innovation, and maintaining a family-oriented culture that has stood the test of time.
The company is currently seeking a Vice President of Sales, a pivotal executive role responsible for steering and executing the organization’s commercial strategy to foster sustainable revenue growth, margin expansion, and long-term value creation. This role is situated at the corporate headquarters in Vancouver, WA, and demands a visionary leader who acts as a steward of the family business, upholding its integrity, culture, and reputation while managing growth and continuity for future generations.
As a key member of the executive team, the Vice President of Sales will provide strategic leadership across all sales and customer service functions. The role involves shaping market strategy, enhancing customer engagement, and driving operational excellence. The successful candidate will hold full accountability for commercial performance, including forecasting and budget management, while leading and developing senior leaders and high-performing teams. Collaboration with other executive leaders is crucial to promote continuous improvement, ensure strong governance, and align sales objectives with the company’s overall business goals.
The Vice President of Sales will focus on enterprise-level commercial strategies directed at expanding revenue streams through private label and branded foodservice and industrial processed fruit and tomato products. This includes increasing contributions from value-added products and services and refining the market position to capitalize on growth opportunities. The position demands a leader with a comprehensive understanding of processed fruit, tomato, and vegetable products alongside extensive experience managing high-volume, multinational B2B food sales.
Ideal candidates will bring a wealth of experience in processed product sales, distribution network optimization, cross-border trade, freight management, and close collaboration with production and sourcing teams. The role also involves active participation in market intelligence, demand planning, and sales forecasting processes which are critical to informed strategic decision-making. The Vice President must lead departmental budget development and governance, ensuring efficient resource allocation and fiscal discipline.
Working at Neil Jones Food Company means joining a company deeply committed to diversity, equal opportunity, and inclusive excellence. The company supports employees through robust benefits, including medical, dental, vision coverage, 401(k) matching, life and AD&D insurance, paid vacation and holidays, an employee assistance program, and more. The convenient location in Vancouver with free parking makes it an attractive workplace for those who value community and corporate responsibility.
This is an exceptional leadership opportunity for a strategic sales executive passionate about the food industry, sustainability, and long-term business stewardship. If you are driven by challenge, dedicated to teamwork, and eager to shape the future of an iconic food company, this role invites you to contribute to its continued success and legacy.
