Job Description

Lions Tigers & Bears is a federally and state licensed nonprofit sanctuary located on a 93-acre ranch in Alpine, California. Established in 2002, it is dedicated to providing a safe haven for rescued exotic animals including lions, tigers, bears, and other animals that have been abandoned, abused, or confiscated from illegal situations. Job Requirements

  • Education level not explicitly stated but relevant experience preferred

Job Duties

  • Manage and develop the volunteer program including recruitment, onboarding, training, and scheduling
  • Ensure volunteers are trained and informed about policies and safety procedures
  • Enhance volunteer engagement by identifying growth and leadership opportunities
  • Oversee internship program and support educational initiatives
  • Organize volunteer schedules for sanctuary operations including animal care and maintenance
  • Recruit and train volunteers for special events and community outreach
  • Maintain volunteer records and support communications via newsletters and social media
