Job Description
Ozinga is a reputable company specializing in the production and delivery of concrete and construction materials. With a strong commitment to quality, safety, and customer satisfaction, Ozinga operates as a leading volumetric concrete provider, serving a diverse range of clients across various construction projects. The company emphasizes the importance of technical expertise, mechanical aptitude, and professionalism in their workforce, ensuring that every project is executed with precision and care. Ozinga values its employees and fosters a supportive workplace culture, striving to create an environment where every team member feels valued and empowered to perform at their best. They offer employment opportunities that come with competitive pay and comprehensive benefits, reflecting their dedication to employee well-being and career growth. The position available is for a Volumetric Concrete Truck Driver/Operator, a key role within the company responsible for the direct production and delivery of high-quality concrete at customer job sites using volumetric mixer trucks. This role is distinct from traditional ready-mix driving due to its technical nature, requiring on-the-spot batching and mix adjustments, which demands a high level of independence and responsibility. The pay range for this position is $33.58 to $39.50 per hour, reflecting the specialized skills required for operating volumetric concrete mixer trucks. The Volumetric Concrete Truck Driver/Operator ensures that concrete is mixed accurately on-site, adhering to specific job requirements and environmental conditions, and maintains the vehicle and equipment in excellent working condition. They operate under rigorous safety standards set by DOT, FMCSA, and company policies, completing necessary documentation such as delivery tickets and driver logs. The professional interaction with customers and the ability to assess job site conditions further highlight the importance of this role, which directly impacts project success and customer satisfaction. This job requires not only mechanical skills and a sound understanding of concrete mix designs but also the ability to adapt and solve problems independently while working outdoors in various weather conditions. With a comprehensive benefits package that includes health insurance, dental and vision coverage, voluntary benefits, retirement plans, and paid time off, Ozinga demonstrates its commitment to supporting its employees' overall wellness and financial security. Joining Ozinga means becoming part of a unionized workforce that values safety, professionalism, and teamwork in an active and dynamic work environment.
