The role of the Visitor Services Representative is essential within this environment. This position is responsible for engaging visitors by greeting them, answering inquiries both in person and over the phone, and distributing informational materials such as brochures and guides. The representative is knowledgeable about local attractions and services and uses this expertise to guide visitors in planning their tours, encouraging them to extend their stays, and ensuring their overall experience is positive and memorable. Additionally, this role manages retail functions including assisting with merchandise sales and maintaining inventory. The Visitor Services Representative also supports outreach efforts by updating event information, supporting hotel partnerships, and assembling promotional materials for community events and sponsorships.
This position requires flexibility as it involves working a varied schedule including evenings, weekends, and holidays to support the operational needs of the Visitor Information Center and city events. Beyond customer interaction, duties extend to maintaining cleanliness and organization of both indoor and outdoor visitor spaces to create a welcoming environment. Job Requirements

- One year of customer service or related experience
- Must pass a pre-employment drug test
- Ability to work flexible schedule including evenings, weekends, and holidays

Job Duties
- Provide excellent customer service to all visitors by greeting them and answering questions
- Manage phone calls, guide requests, mail distribution, and assist with promotional materials and online orders
- Maintain full knowledge of Lewisville’s tourism offerings including accommodations, attractions, dining, shopping, festivals, and events
- Engage visitors by educating and providing directions, brochures, and resources
- Assist with retail transactions using point-of-sale systems, manage inventory, and maintain merchandise displays
- Set up and break down outdoor community play activities and events
- Represent the City at special events promoting tourism and assisting with the sale of branded merchandise
