The Utility Steward 2 will be responsible for maintaining cleanliness and functionality in the back-of-house kitchen areas, supporting daily operations by handling dishwashing, trash management, and general upkeep. The candidate will be expected to operate, clean, and manage dishwashing machinery and train new team members in operational protocols. In addition, duties extend to distributing clean dishware, maintaining safe and organized workspaces, managing temperature and breakage logs, and operating specialized equipment such as the Grind 2 Energy machine.

Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred
- One year of related experience required, preferably in a high volume restaurant or commercial cleaning environment
- Ability to achieve ServSafe certification within 90 days
- Ability to maintain discretion in handling confidential information
- Ability to interact with guests and team members professionally
- Ability to work irregular hours and extended shifts including late nights, early mornings, weekends, and holidays
- Physical ability to perform duties including standing, walking, climbing, balancing, stooping, kneeling, crouching, moving freely, lifting up to 20 pounds regularly and up to 60 pounds occasionally with assistance, and wearing required Personal Protective Equipment
- Ability to safely use chemical cleaning products
- Willingness to work in environments with varying temperatures and noise levels
Job Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred

- Specific vision abilities including close, distance, peripheral vision, depth perception, and focus adjustment
Job Duties
- Load dirty dishes, glassware, and utensils into racks and dishwashing machines
- Inspect all items for cleanliness after washing and rewash as needed
- Operate and maintain dishwashing machines including cleaning and draining
- Train other team members on dishwashing machine operation
- Distribute clean dishware and utensils to assigned venues
- Remove, sort, and dispose of trash according to guidelines
- Maintain clean, safe, and organized work areas including floors, walls, and counters
- Ensure sanitation procedures and food guidelines are followed by all team members
- Assist in maintaining temperature and breakage logs
- Operate Grind 2 Energy machine and train team members on its proper use
- Comply fully with departmental internal controls, policies, procedures, and regulations
- Perform other duties as assigned
