Job Description
Team JCK LLC and KBR Group LLC are independent franchisees operating under the prestigious Carl Karcher Enterprises umbrella, which is renowned for its dedication to delivering high-quality restaurant services and creating an engaging customer experience. Collectively, these franchisees manage multiple restaurant brands, each striving to uphold the core values of the parent company while focusing heavily on operational excellence, customer satisfaction, and sustainable growth in a highly competitive hospitality industry. The combined entity boasts a commitment to fostering strong, value-driven leadership and an inclusive culture designed to empower employees across all levels. This work environment supports professional development through coaching, mentoring, and a clear accountability framework, essential for driving ongoing growth and performance across numerous geographically dispersed locations.
The role of Vice President of Restaurant Operations is a senior executive leadership position critical to the success of the organization. This person will oversee the overall operational health, performance, and culture across all restaurant brands and business units within the franchise organization. As an influential enterprise leader, the VP of Restaurant Operations must provide strategic leadership to Directors of Operations while spearheading change management initiatives, driving profitability, and maintaining operational excellence. The role requires ensuring that operational strategies align seamlessly with the company’s broader business objectives, positively reflect company values, and promote the organization's long-term growth and sustainability.
In essence, the Vice President serves as a key driver of a high-performance culture, fostering employee engagement, retention, and psychological safety by modeling values-based leadership in every decision and action taken. This leader will be deeply involved in setting clear performance expectations and holding operational leaders accountable while remaining actively visible in field operations to stay grounded in the real-time challenges and opportunities facing the restaurants. The executive will lead enterprise-wide initiatives to implement consistent operational standards and governance, collaborate closely with departments such as People Operations, IT, and Accounting to optimize enterprise-wide tools, and leverage technology to monitor and improve performance continuously.
Financial stewardship is also a key responsibility for the VP, including ownership of financial outcomes across brands, managing sales, margins, and labor efficiency to maximize profitability. Regularly reviewing operating budgets and conducting thorough P&L trend analyses will allow the incumbent to implement corrective actions swiftly and identify opportunities for cost savings, efficiency improvements, and revenue generation.
The VP must also champion the successful execution of the Entrepreneurial Operating System (EOS) framework, ensuring that operational goals, priorities, and resolution processes contribute to transparent and accountable management. This role demands a disciplined approach to follow-ups on commitments and action items while actively removing organizational barriers to efficient execution.
Working conditions for the role include a mix of office work, travel, and hands-on presence in various restaurant locations, where exposure to the physical demands and environmental conditions of restaurant operations is expected. The VP of Restaurant Operations will have an exceptional opportunity to lead a high-performing, value-driven organization, influencing multi-brand operational strategy and growth, developing leadership teams across multiple geographies, and driving innovation and operational excellence in a dynamic, fast-paced industry. This leadership position stands at the epicenter of operational success, culture cultivation, and strategic growth within one of the leading restaurant franchise groups in the country.
