Job Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in business, hospitality management, or related field
- 10-15+ years of progressive leadership experience in franchise operations
- At least 5 years in multi-unit management
- Casual dining experience preferred
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to travel extensively (75% or more)
- Proficiency in data-driven decision making
- Proven leadership and team development abilities
- Understanding of operational standards and compliance
- Capability to influence without direct authority
- Experience in franchisee partnership and performance management
Job Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in business, hospitality management, or related field
- Advanced degree preferred
- 10-15+ years of progressive franchise operations leadership experience
- At least 5 years in multi-unit management
- Casual dining experience strongly preferred
- Proven ability to partner with multi-unit franchisees
- Experience in data-driven performance improvement
- Demonstrated skill influencing without direct authority
- Strong foundation in marketing, development, finance, HR, and operations
- Exceptional leadership skills including delegation and performance management
- Superior communication and public speaking skills
- Ability to travel extensively (75% or more)
Job Duties
- Build and sustain strong business relationships with franchise principals
- Partner effectively with multi-unit franchisees to align operational strategies
- Provide business advice and advocate for franchisee perspectives
- Elevate underperforming franchisees through corrective action plans
- Develop and motivate franchise support team
- Facilitate Franchise Operations and People Committee meetings
- Lead Field Operations Team meetings
- Ensure timely support from corporate departments
- Partner on real estate, construction, and market analysis
- Uphold and enforce Applebee's standard operating procedures
- Review and refine franchise manuals and communication tools
- Influence adoption of best practices across the franchise system
- Lead strategies to meet new restaurant development goals
- Support franchise expansion and new restaurant openings
- Establish and analyze operational targets and performance metrics
- Collaborate on incentive program design linked to performance outcomes
