Job Requirements

  • must meet and maintain company flight personnel weight restriction policy (235 lbs or less)
  • must pass pre-placement physical exam including functional capacity exam
  • must be able to lift 100 pounds
  • must pass drug screening and background check
  • must live within one-hour commute from the base
  • must have annual flu vaccine (not required in some cases)
  • adherence to company policies and community outreach participation
  • ability to work day and night rotations with 24-hour operations
  • willingness to fulfill minimum service requirements related to transition or relocation if applicable

Job Qualifications

  • commercial helicopter rating
  • instrument helicopter rating
  • first class medical certificate
  • minimum 2,000 total flight hours
  • minimum 1,500 hours helicopter flight time
  • minimum 1,000 hours pilot-in-command helicopter time
  • minimum 500 hours turbine helicopter time
  • minimum 100 hours unaided night operations or 50 hours unaided plus 100 hours night vision goggles operations
  • demonstrated strong communication skills
  • ability to pass interview and acceptance by PHI management and customers
  • exceptional internal and external customer service skills
  • excellent verbal and written communication skills

Job Duties

  • perform line pilot duties in accordance with general operations manual
  • support safety management system and company safety campaigns including destination zero
  • work collaboratively with internal and external customers to provide safe, efficient, courteous, and reliable service
  • participate in community outreach programs
  • assist with loading and unloading of patients and equipment
  • operate BH407 helicopters under VFR/NVG and instrument conditions with adherence to CAMTS guidelines
  • comply with all company policies and procedures related to flight operations
