Job Requirements
- High school diploma or GED
- Experience in a veterinary or customer service role preferred
- Knowledge of veterinary medical terminology
- Ability to operate standard office and business equipment
- Flexible schedule including some weekends and holidays
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to manage stressful situations
- Critical thinking and problem-solving skills
- Organizational skills
- Experience with veterinary software preferred

Job Duties
- Receive and place calls to clients for scheduling
- Prioritize multiple tasks in a calm, organized manner
- Maintain proper documentation through client and pet records including referral documentation and medical history
- Assist clients with instructions, information, invoices, and dispense prescription items as directed by veterinarians
- Use hospital computer systems to document medical records and communicate with clients and teammates
- Manage hospital financial transactions, maintain accurate balances, and follow cash and credit card handling procedures
- Exhibit excellent customer service and professional communication skills
- Educate clients on preventative care, pet health needs, and treatment recommendations
- Maintain a positive attitude in all interactions with clients, pets, and teammates
- Demonstrate empathy towards clients and treat pets with compassion and respect
