Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Previous experience in a customer service or veterinary setting preferred
  • Flexible scheduling availability including days, evenings, weekends, and holidays
  • Strong communication skills
  • Ability to multitask and handle payment processing
  • Computer literacy
  • Ability to work in a team environment
  • Willingness to be on camera during interview and assessment process

  • Computer knowledge including keyboarding and use of communication tools such as email and internet
  • Working knowledge of veterinary terminology including pronunciation and spelling
  • Excellent spelling and grammar skills

  • Ability to conduct oneself confidently and professionally during stressful situations
  • Genuine liking for animals and working in animal care field

Job Duties

  • Greet clients and pets by name with a positive attitude
  • Answer phones promptly and professionally using a multi-line system
  • Schedule appointments and surgeries according to hospital guidelines
  • Enter accurate charges and explain invoices to clients
  • Collect payments including cash, credit cards, and checks
  • Verify eligibility of clients with charge accounts
  • Maintain accurate client and medical records and document client conversations
