Companion Animal Hospital - Kenosha is a well-established veterinary clinic located at 4415 52nd Street, Kenosha, WI 53144. Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Prior experience in customer service or reception role preferred
- Proficiency in computer and data entry skills
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to multi-task and stay organized in a fast-paced environment
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy
- Ability to maintain professionalism under pressure
- Willingness to work full-time
- Ability to work as part of a team and collaborate effectively
Job Qualifications
- Demonstrated commitment to MPH core values
- Computer knowledge including keyboarding and communication tools
- Working knowledge of veterinary terminology including pronunciation and spelling
- Excellent spelling and grammar
- Ability to handle varied and sometimes difficult conditions with tact and respect
- Conduct oneself in a confident, calm, and professional manner under stressful situations
- Genuine liking for animals and their owners and enjoyment of working in animal care
Job Duties
- Maintain and uphold the Core Values and Mission Statement of MPH
- Greet clients and pets by name with a smile and a positive, solution-oriented attitude
- Answer phones promptly and professionally using a multi-line phone system
- Screen and route calls to appropriate staff
- take and deliver messages promptly
- Schedule appointments and surgeries according to hospital scheduling guidelines and make confirmation calls
- Note in medical records the details discussed during client conversations
- Enter accurate charges and explain invoices to clients
- Collect payment including cash, credit cards, and checks
- Verify client eligibility for charge accounts
- Check and update client contact information in medical records
- Fill prescription refill forms and provide routine administration instructions
- Advise clients on preventative and treatment products such as flea/tick and heartworm preventatives
