Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Previous experience in a receptionist or customer-facing role is preferred
  • Ability to communicate clearly and empathetically
  • Must be able to function calmly in stressful situations
  • Availability to work rotating shifts including weekends
  • Strong interpersonal and organizational skills
  • Basic computer skills

Job Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Experience in customer service or receptionist role preferred
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to remain calm and compassionate in emotional situations
  • Basic computer proficiency
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously
  • Familiarity with veterinary terminology or medical office environment is a plus

Job Duties

  • Greet clients with warm and professional acknowledgement
  • Offer friendly smile, strong eye contact and approachable demeanor
  • Listen compassionately to clients
  • Speak clearly, slowly and calmly in person and over the phone
  • Assess client and pet condition upon arrival
  • Determine urgency of emergency cases
  • Respond to non-patient calls and connect them appropriately
  • Confirm appointments and provide accurate preparation information
  • Provide emotional support and resource materials to grieving clients
  • Liaise between clients and service agencies for pet remains handling
