Job Requirements

High school diploma or equivalent
previous experience in a customer service or receptionist role preferred
ability to work flexible hours including some Saturdays
strong communication and organizational skills
proficiency with computer systems and multi-line phone handling
capacity to multitask and maintain composure under pressure

Job Qualifications

Demonstrated commitment to core values
computer literacy including keyboarding and email/internet use
working knowledge of veterinary terminology
excellent spelling and grammar
ability to handle varied and difficult situations with tact and respect
confident and professional demeanor in stressful conditions
genuine liking for animals and their owners

Job Duties

Greet clients and pets by name with a positive and solution-oriented attitude
answer phones promptly and professionally using a multi-line phone system
schedule appointments and surgeries following hospital guidelines
enter accurate charges and explain invoices clearly to clients
collect payment and process credit cards and checks
maintain a clean and welcoming front lobby and reception area
advise clients on veterinary services and retail products
