Job Requirements

  • Flexible schedule including weekends and holidays
  • Experience in a receptionist or customer service role preferred

Job Duties

  • Receive and place calls to clients for scheduling purposes
  • Prioritize multiple tasks in a calm and organized manner
  • Maintain proper documentation including client and pet records, referral documentation, and medical history
  • Assist clients by providing instructions, information, invoices, dispensing prescriptions per veterinary instructions, and scheduling appointments
  • Utilize hospital computer systems to document medical records and communicate with clients and teammates
  • Manage financial needs by accurately maintaining client balances, following cash and credit card handling procedures, and adhering to opening and closing protocols
  • Deliver excellent customer service and professional communication
  • Advocate for pets through client education on preventative care, health needs, treatment recommendations, and hospital services
  • Maintain a positive attitude in all interactions
  • Show empathy toward clients and treat pets with compassion and respect
