Job Requirements

  • Minimum of high school diploma or equivalent
  • at least 1 year of experience in veterinary receptionist role preferred
  • ability to handle unpleasant odors and noises
  • comfortable with exposure to bites, scratches, animal waste, and contagious diseases
  • excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • ability to multitask and remain calm under pressure
  • proficiency in using computer systems for scheduling and client management
  • willingness to learn and adapt in a fast-paced environment

Job Duties

  • Maintain the visual appeal of the hospital reception area
  • greet and welcome clients and their pets
  • answer questions and triage client concerns
  • answer calls and emails and direct to the appropriate party for resolution
  • schedule appointments to maximize efficiency and daily flow
  • check in and check out clients and process payments
  • provide friendly emotional support in a compassionate and discreet manner during times of need
