Job Requirements
- Meet the requirements to operate a State of Wisconsin Fleet vehicle
- Successfully complete a criminal background check
- Must be legally authorized to work in the United States
- Willingness to travel and work occasional evenings and weekends
- Ability to work in confinement and homeless service facilities
- Twelve-month probationary period
- Valid driver’s license
Job Qualifications
- Experience providing program outreach including initiating face-to-face meetings, organizing events, and distributing resources
- Experience conducting case management such as client screening, service referrals, and record keeping
- Experience utilizing computerized databases for maintaining records and generating reports
- Experience providing liaison support between organizations including facilitating information exchange and coordinating services is preferred
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Job Duties
- Provide outreach support and case management to veterans
- Connect veterans to behavioral health, housing, and employment resources
- Serve as liaison to community and government organizations serving veterans
- Promote veterans benefits to maximize delivery to veterans
- Attend veteran-related events such as workshops, town halls, stand-downs, and benefit fairs
- Maintain case management records and utilize computerized databases
- Participate in occasional evening, weekend, and remote area work including travel
