Job Description
Four Seasons is a globally renowned luxury hospitality company known for delivering exceptional guest experiences through its dedication to quality, service, and employee satisfaction. Founded on principles of genuine hospitality and a commitment to excellence, Four Seasons operates prestigious hotels and resorts worldwide, including the iconic Four Seasons Hotel Las Vegas. The hotel is distinguished as one of the only non-gaming and non-smoking hotels on the Las Vegas Strip, offering a tranquil and sophisticated atmosphere for guests seeking relaxing luxury amidst the vibrant energy of the city. Four Seasons Las Vegas boasts a Five Diamond rating, a Forbes Five-Star Spa, and a prime location adjacent to the Mandalay Bay Resort & Casino, enabling visitors to enjoy both serene resort amenities and access to the city's famed entertainment venues.
As part of the Food & Beverage team, the Host/ess at Four Seasons Las Vegas plays a critical role in shaping the first impression of guests entering the restaurant. This individual embodies the brand's ethos of hospitality, greeting guests promptly and courteously with a warm smile and attentive eye contact. The Host/ess manages reservations using the OpenTable system, effectively seating guests with or without prior reservations, and maintaining smooth dining room operations. Familiarity with the daily menus, ingredients, and availability ensures that the Host/ess can confidently answer guest inquiries and accommodate special requests.
The role demands a thorough understanding of server stations, including their daily assignments, timing patterns, and workload capacity, allowing for optimal table assignments that enhance guest satisfaction. Building rapport with frequent guests by remembering names and preferences is a valued aspect of this position, reflecting Four Seasons' dedication to personalized service. Excellent interpersonal skills and polished personal presentation are essential to success in this role.
Due to the dynamic nature of the hospitality industry, the Host/ess position requires standing for extended periods, up to eight hours daily, and the ability to remain composed and effective under pressure. Flexibility in scheduling is necessary, including availability for all shifts, weekends, and holidays. Strong fluency in English—reading, writing, and speaking—is a prerequisite to communicate effectively with guests and team members.
Four Seasons is committed to an inclusive and equitable workplace, encouraging applications from minorities, women, veterans, and individuals with disabilities. The company’s core values revolve around the Golden Rule, fostering a culture where employees treat each other and guests with mutual respect and kindness. Working at Four Seasons means joining a team motivated not only by excellence but also by a genuine desire to make a lasting positive impact on guests and communities worldwide. This is an excellent opportunity for individuals who thrive in vibrant, luxury hospitality environments and seek to develop their careers with an industry leader dedicated to both employee and guest satisfaction.
