In this vibrant and dynamic environment, the role of Venue Technology Assistant is pivotal. The position is designed to support the seamless operation of point-of-sale systems within various event venues, ensuring technology systems are fully functional before, during, and after live events. This role provides level 1 and 2 technical support, diagnosing and resolving issues pertaining to software, firmware, and hardware. In addition to troubleshooting, the Venue Technology Assistant proactively initiates and implements improvements in their areas of responsibility to optimize operational efficiency.

The Venue Technology Assistant will conduct thorough venue walk-throughs to verify the operational readiness of all systems, coordinating timely replacement of defective hardware and managing real-time support during events. This role demands a hands-on individual capable of adapting quickly to changing environments, managing multiple tasks efficiently, and communicating effectively with internal teams and external stakeholders. Candidates must be able to work on their feet for extended periods and handle physical aspects of the job, such as lifting up to 50 pounds. Proficiency in Microsoft applications and a strong analytical mindset are key components for success in this role. Job Requirements

Job Duties

  • Provide level 1 and 2 support to all point-of-sale system problems and escalate when necessary
  • Initiate and implement improvements to areas of responsibility
  • Conduct venue walk-throughs to ensure all systems are operational prior to and during events
  • Replace defective hardware before, during, and after events
  • Diagnose software, firmware, and hardware errors and breakage
  • Maintain thorough knowledge of the organization and adhere to all standards and practices
