The Hollywood Palladium, an iconic venue under the Live Nation umbrella, is seeking a dedicated Parking Lot Attendant to join their team. This role is essential in ensuring a seamless and safe parking experience for guests attending events. The incumbent will be responsible for managing the flow of vehicles within designated parking areas, issuing tickets, handling payments for parking fees, and maintaining order and cleanliness in the parking lot. This position offers an hourly wage ranging from $17.60 to $22.00, reflecting factors such as market location, qualifications, skills, and experience.
As a Parking Lot Attendant, you will play a critical role in enhancing guest satisfaction by providing courteous, efficient, and professional parking services. Duties include taking numbered tags from guests, locating and delivering vehicles, providing clear instructions for vehicle retrieval, and patrolling parking areas to prevent damage or theft. The role also involves directing motorists using hand signals or flashlights, ensuring maximum utilization of parking spaces, issuing ticket stubs or numbered tags, and managing physical tasks like lifting and positioning barricades. Your presence and proactive approach will contribute to a safe, orderly, and welcoming environment for all guests.
This position requires a person with excellent communication skills, a well-groomed appearance, and the stamina to walk constantly with occasional sitting. A high school diploma or GED is preferred, with one year of previous guest service experience favored. Job Duties
- take numbered tags from guests, locate vehicles and deliver vehicles or provide guests with instructions for locating vehicles
- keep parking areas clean and orderly to ensure that space usage is maximized
- direct motorists to parking areas or parking spaces using hand signals or flashlights as necessary
- patrol parking areas to prevent vehicle damage and vehicle or property thefts
- greet guests and open their car doors
- calculate parking charges and collect fees from guests
- issue ticket stubs or place numbered tags on windshields and give guests matching tags for locating parked vehicles
- lift position and remove barricades to open or close parking areas
- inspect vehicles to detect any damage
- perform other tasks assigned by the Parking Manager or Supervisor
