Job Requirements
- One year(s) experience in the automobile field with body, paint, and mechanical repair knowledge with customer service background
- Ability to read, write, speak and understand English
- Ability to work outside in elements for extended periods
- Problem solving aptitude to meet challenges with resourcefulness and innovative approaches
- Proven success to work independently with minimal supervision while working in a team environment
- Excellent communicator with ability to understand customer needs and expectations
- Valid driver's license and use of a validly registered and insured motor vehicle
- Knowledge of system capabilities, needed job-relevant software packages and web-based applications
- Ability to perform manual labor including standing for extended periods, lifting up to or more than 25 lbs, bending, squatting
- Ability to drive manual and automatic transmission
- Vision abilities required to properly identify small defects around and underneath vehicles
Job Qualifications
- Minimum one year experience in the automobile field including knowledge of body, paint, and mechanical repair
- Customer service experience
- Ability to read, write, speak, and understand English
- Proven ability to work independently with minimal supervision
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to understand customer needs
- Valid driver's license with a validly registered and insured motor vehicle
- Knowledge of relevant system capabilities, software packages, and web-based applications
- Ability to perform manual labor such as standing for extended periods, lifting 25 lbs or more, bending, and squatting
- Vision abilities required to identify small defects around and underneath vehicles
- Ability to drive both manual and automatic transmission vehicles
Job Duties
- Actively and consistently support all efforts to simplify and enhance the customer experience
- Partner with a Territory Manager and a team of Inspectors to conduct vehicle inspections at dealerships, auctions, and off-lease locations
- Prepare and submit detailed reports on vehicle condition, repair and replacement cost estimates, and related documentation
- Help sales team up-sell or cross-sell services and products
- Interface regularly with dealers to ensure client satisfaction and build strong relationships
- Travel to and from locations to inspect vehicles and write condition reports
- Take multiple overall and damage photos, matching them to vehicles, and download them to the image server using a company-issued smartphone
- List inspected wholesale vehicles on ACV Auctions platform for bidding and purchase
- Sign up independent dealerships as buyers to utilize ACV’s digital platform
- Perform additional duties as assigned
