Job Requirements

High school diploma or equivalent
Prior coaching or competitive rowing experience
CPR/First Aid certification or commitment to obtain before season starts
USRowing SafeSport certification and background check clearance
Ability to work weekday afternoons, some early mornings, and weekends
Boaters license or willingness to obtain
Strong communication skills
Positive attitude and mentorship ability

Job Qualifications

18 years of age or older
Prior coaching or competitive rowing experience, varsity or collegiate level preferred
Strong communication and interpersonal skills
CPR/First Aid certification or willingness to obtain before the season starts
USRowing SafeSport certification and background check clearance
Ability to work weekday afternoons, some early mornings, and weekends for races
Boaters license or willingness to obtain
Experience working with high school rowers preferred
Trailer driving experience or willingness to learn preferred

Job Duties

Assist the Varsity Boys Head Coach in planning and leading daily practices and regattas
Support the physical and technical development of experienced high school rowers
Uphold team standards and contribute to a culture of respect, accountability, and inclusion
Provide mentorship and guidance both on and off the water
Ensure athlete safety and adherence to all Mt. Baker and Seattle Parks and Recreation policies
