We are currently seeking a diligent and customer-oriented Service Valet / Porter to join our team. This role is essential in maintaining the order and security of the service parking area and ensuring that every customer's vehicle is handled with care from check-in through final delivery. The Service Valet / Porter will be responsible for greeting and checking in vehicles dropped off for repairs, accurately documenting vehicle conditions and mileage, and assisting with the movement of vehicles within the service area. This position demands a high level of responsibility as it involves managing customer property and ensuring the safety and security of vehicles stored on site.

In addition to vehicle handling, the Service Valet / Porter will perform final quality inspections on repaired vehicles to ensure that customers receive their vehicles in optimal condition. Any issues identified must be promptly communicated to management to guarantee that repairs meet the highest standards before vehicles are returned to customers. The role also includes maintaining the service parking area to provide easy and safe customer access and facilitating vehicle delivery to the cashier for pickup. This position requires excellent organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work collaboratively with technicians and management to uphold operational excellence.

Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Valid driver’s license
  • Ability to drive manual and automatic transmission vehicles
  • Physical ability to move and maneuver vehicles
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Ability to complete detailed reports
  • Good communication skills
  • Reliability and punctuality
  • Ability to work flexible hours when needed

Job Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Previous experience in valet or automotive service environment preferred
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
  • Ability to operate and maneuver vehicles safely
  • Good communication skills
  • Ability to work collaboratively within a team
  • Basic knowledge of vehicle maintenance helpful

Job Duties

  • Maintain the service parking area to allow customers easy access to the shop area
  • Park customer vehicles dropped off for repairs or estimates
  • Complete a check-in report for each vehicle dropped off for repairs
  • Document any old or unrelated damage on the vehicle
  • Document mileage and place a mirror tag and floor mat in each vehicle
  • Assist technicians in moving vehicles in and out of the shop area
  • Ensure all vehicles are secure and locked each night
  • Complete final checklist report on completed vehicles to ensure quality of repairs
  • Make management aware of any problems that arise on final inspection to ensure any problems are corrected prior to delivery of the vehicle to the customer
  • Deliver customer vehicles from parking lot to the cashier at time of pick up
  • Assist with pick up and delivery of vehicles when needed
