This position is offered by a reputable RV dealership that specializes in providing comprehensive services for recreational vehicles. The RV Valet/Porter role is essential in ensuring the smooth operation of the service and storage areas by managing the movement and transportation of recreational vehicles. This role requires an individual who is adept at handling large vehicles safely and efficiently, as it involves moving RVs in and out of service bays and storage locations as needed. Additionally, the valet/porter assists in transporting RVs between the dealership and customer locations, ensuring that all vehicles are handled with care and transported securely. A significant aspect of the role also includes performing storage departure checks, which entail inspecting battery status, water levels, tire pressures, and operating refrigeration units before customers take their RVs from storage. Maintaining cleanliness and organization in the service area and coaches is also a critical responsibility to uphold operational standards and promote a safe working environment. The incumbent must communicate effectively with the service manager by reporting any vehicle issues encountered and provide exceptional customer service by addressing any customer concerns promptly and courteously. Adherence to safety protocols and proper use of equipment are mandatory, reflecting the company's commitment to employee safety and operational excellence. This role is not only physically engaging, involving standing, walking, bending, and sometimes lifting heavy objects, but also requires good time management, attention to detail, and the ability to work independently. Job Requirements

  • high school diploma or equivalent
  • prior experience in a similar position preferred
  • valid driver's license and clean driving record, CDL preferred
  • ability to perform physical tasks including standing, walking, bending, and lifting heavy objects
  • ability to work in tight spaces and at heights
  • ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions
  • must be able to work weekends or holidays as needed
  • ability to pass pre-employment testing including background check, motor vehicle record check, and drug screen

Job Qualifications

  • prior experience in a similar position preferred
  • valid driver's license and clean driving record, CDL preferred
  • good time-management skills and the ability to prioritize tasks
  • excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • attention to detail and the ability to work independently and efficiently

Job Duties

  • move RVs in and out of the service and storage areas
  • complete storage departure checks including batteries, water, tire pressures and turn refer on prior to a customer's departure from storage
  • assist in maintaining the cleanliness and organization of the area
  • report any issues with RVs to the service manager
  • provide excellent customer service and address any customer concerns or complaints in a timely manner
  • follow safety procedures and use equipment properly
