Currently, the Hilton Dallas Rockwall Lakefront is seeking a dedicated and professional Valet Driver to join their team. This role is pivotal in enhancing the guest experience by providing courteous and safe transportation services between the hotel, airport, and the local area. The Valet Driver is responsible for handling guest luggage with care, maintaining the bell station, and assisting with various guest services such as providing directions and helping with front desk duties including answering phones and delivering items to guest rooms.
The Valet Driver position involves operating courtesy vehicles safely by adhering to all traffic regulations, ensuring a secure and pleasant journey for guests. Besides driving responsibilities, the role requires maintaining the cleanliness and orderliness of the lobby station and baggage areas, managing hotel vehicles by pumping gas and scheduling maintenance, and promptly reporting any accidents or safety hazards to management. This position demands a positive attitude, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work efficiently under pressure while maintaining a cheerful demeanor.
Physical demands of the job include lifting up to 100 pounds, frequently bending, stooping, reaching, and standing for extended periods, as well as working in variable weather conditions inside and outside the vehicle. The role requires a valid Class B driver’s license and a strong knowledge of hotel operations and the local area.

Job Requirements
- Valid Class B license
- Ability to lift up to 100 pounds
- Previous experience in guest service or valet driving preferred
- Ability to work flexible shifts including nights, weekends and holidays
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to operate a computer and telephone
- Must adhere to all safety and security procedures
- Neat, clean and well-groomed appearance
Job Qualifications
- Valid Class B license
- Professional, positive attitude and actions when communicating with guests and team members
- Knowledge of hotel and the city
- Ability to understand and obey all traffic rules, speed limits and federal, state and local driving regulations
- Ability to operate a computer, printer, copier, and telephone
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, sometimes under pressure, while remaining flexible and efficient while maintaining a pleasant cheerful demeanor
Job Duties
- Drive guests between airport and hotel and the local area
- Open and close vehicle doors for guests
- Check guest luggage for both day and overnight visits
- Assist guests with storing and retrieving their luggage, and if requested, from their vehicle
- Utilize bell carts to transfer luggage and packages to and from rooms, vehicles, and/or loading areas
- Run hotel errands as instructed by management
- Maintain and clean the designated lobby station and baggage room
- Ensure that lobby area and front exterior/interior of the hotel is neat and clean at all time by picking up trash, adjusting furniture to proper positions
- Stand by ready to assist guests, greeting and welcoming guests to the hotel
- Assist in providing travel directions, recommendations for local attractions, restaurants and other services
- Answer phones to assist PBX/Guest Calls
- Restock supplies at the front desk and business center
- Clean and inspect hotel vehicles
- Maintain vehicle cleanliness, pump gas, and obtain oil changes
- Complete vehicle mileage reports
- Prompt reporting of all emergencies, accidents, injuries, missing articles, damage, mechanical problems and safety hazards to management
- Maintain a neat, clean and well-groomed appearance
- Adhering to hotel taxi stand requirement and agreements
- Adheres to all company policies and procedures
- Follows safety and security procedures and rules
- Knows department fire prevention and emergency procedures
- Utilizes protective equipment
- Reports unsafe conditions to supervisor/manager
- Reports accidents, injuries, near-misses, property damage or loss to supervisor/manager
- Provides for a safe work environment by following all safety and security procedures and rules
- Assists other Front Desk Personnel when needed
- Perform any related duties as requested by supervisor/manager
