The role of Valet/Bellman at Tuscany Suites & Casino is an essential position within the front services team, tasked with enhancing guest experiences right from their arrival. This role involves opening the main doors to the hotel and casino, assisting visitors with vehicle entry and exit, and greeting guests warmly to set a positive tone for their visit. The Valet/Bellman must be adept at managing vehicle parking procedures, such as tagging keys accurately with relevant information including date, time, guest name, and vehicle details. This position requires the ability to park and retrieve vehicles skillfully and safely, ensuring that each car is handled with care to prevent damage.

A key aspect of this position is providing guests with comprehensive information about the property's facilities, amenities, and services as well as directions to local attractions and areas of interest. Maintaining an efficient and legal parking system is critical to ensuring smooth traffic flow and enhancing overall guest satisfaction. The Valet/Bellman also plays a vital role in documenting and reporting vehicle incidents, accidents, or security concerns promptly to maintain a high standard of safety and security.

Safety and cleanliness around the parking areas, valet stands, and porticos are under the responsibility of the Valet/Bellman, who must monitor these zones constantly to avoid hazards or security problems. The role demands a proactive approach, reporting any irregularities to supervisors or managers promptly. Working in this position often involves exposure to environmental factors such as secondhand smoke and high noise levels, and it calls for availability during evenings, weekends, holidays, and special events. Job Duties

  • Open hotel/casino main doors and assist guests/visitors entering and leaving the property
  • assist guests with opening/closing vehicle doors
  • welcome guests and visitors with appropriate greetings of the day
  • communicate parking procedures to guests/visitors
  • tag guest vehicle keys with date & time, make/model and guest name
  • effectively park and retrieve guests cars without causing damage to the vehicle
  • provide guests with information regarding property facilities, amenities, services, hours of operation
  • provide guests with direction and local areas of interest and activities
  • ensure vehicles are legally parked and maintain a smooth and efficient flow of traffic
  • ensure all guest's valet experience is memorable and as per the hotel's standards
  • document and report all vehicle incidents like damages, accidents, theft, missing articles
  • report accidents, injuries, and unsafe work conditions to supervisor or manager
  • monitor and maintain safety, security, and cleanliness of parking areas, portico and behind the valet stand
  • report any security or safety problems, safety hazards and potential security problems to supervisors
