Job Description

The Sycuan Band of the Kumeyaay Nation has a rich cultural heritage, tracing back centuries as a community that lived and thrived through farming, hunting, and fishing. Rooted deeply in tradition and community spirit, the Sycuan Tribe today continues to uphold these values while adapting to contemporary times. The Tribe governs its Reservation and operates a variety of successful business enterprises in the San Diego region, including a state-of-the-art Casino and a beautiful Golf Resort. Sycuan stands out not only as a business entity but as a vibrant community of people working in harmony towards shared goals, creating an environment where teamwork and dedication come first. Joining Sycuan means becoming part of a family that values commitment, respect, and excellence.

The role of Valet/Bell Attendant at Sycuan is an exciting, dynamic position that places you at the forefront of guest interaction, serving as the welcoming presence for all arriving at the resort. This position involves much more than just parking cars; it offers a unique opportunity to create memorable first impressions for guests by providing exceptional valet parking services, assisting with luggage, and ensuring smooth transportation both on and off-site. A Valet/Bell Attendant is essential in maintaining a seamless, premium guest experience from the moment guests arrive until their departure.

In this hourly, tip-pool position, you will engage with guests by greeting them warmly, managing keys, using advanced Computerized Valet Parking System technology, and ensuring each vehicle’s safety and condition is recorded thoroughly. Beyond valet duties, you will have the opportunity to enhance guest comfort with bell and door services, such as assisting with luggage, opening doors, and sharing useful information about the resort’s amenities and promotions. Depending on shifts, providing safe and reliable on- and off-site transportation is also an integral part of the job, ensuring that guests and team members arrive at their destinations securely and comfortably. The role demands vigilance, courtesy, and a guest-centered mindset, all while working collaboratively within the Sycuan team.

Sycuan values employees who demonstrate professionalism, excellent communication skills, and the physical ability to perform the many tasks required, including lifting luggage and driving various vehicles. If you are looking to be part of a thriving community-oriented workplace that honors tradition, promotes growth, and offers consistent interaction with diverse guests, this role as a Valet/Bell Attendant at Sycuan offers an unparalleled career opportunity.
