  • ability to visually identify vehicle depth, speed, and movement in daylight and dark

Job Duties

  • Identify and distribute the proper ticket to the appropriate type of guest (transient, hotel, VIP, etc.)
  • provide a friendly and courteous welcome to the guest by asking and using their name frequently
  • inform the guest of the charge for valet and where/how to retrieve their vehicle
  • properly place the ticket (with guest’s name) inside the vehicle for identification and parking purposes
  • inform bellman/luggage attendant when assistance is needed for a hotel guest and their luggage
  • properly secure vehicle keys
  • effectively control the porte at all times via controlling proper traffic flow, ensuring vehicles are parked in a timely manner, the porte remaining as clear as possible, etc.
  • charge vehicles properly for tickets
  • effectively identify and notate visible damage on vehicles
  • assist with staging and clearing vehicle lanes in porte one lane at a time when needed
  • assist management in closing and reopening porte when necessary
