Job Description
The hiring establishment is a distinguished hospitality company specializing in residential and hotel services throughout Florida. Known for their dedication to exceptional customer experiences, their properties often feature luxurious accommodations and premium amenities designed to cater to a diverse clientele. This company values a strong customer-oriented approach, emphasizing creating welcoming environments for all residents and guests. As a part of their team, employees enjoy working in a professional setting that promotes teamwork, respect, and continuous personal and professional development. Their commitment to service excellence and operational efficiency has made them a preferred choice for travelers and residents seeking quality hospitality and assistance.
The role available is that of a Guest Services Associate, a crucial position within the hospitality team responsible for delivering outstanding customer service to residents and guests. This position is ideal for individuals who are outgoing, friendly, and enjoy interacting with people from varied backgrounds. The Guest Services Associate acts as the first point of contact, greeting residents and guests warmly as they arrive and depart. The role involves providing assistance with baggage, package handling, grocery errands, parking, and offering detailed information related to hotel services, local shopping, dining, entertainment options, and travel directions. Maintaining an efficient and safe working environment, the Associate also reports any maintenance issues and helps resolve guest complaints, ensuring overall satisfaction and a positive stay experience. This position may also entail performing concierge duties, adding value to the services offered by the property.
This role is seasonal and part-time, with shifts primarily in the afternoons and weekends from 3 pm to 11 pm. The compensation offered is $20.00 per hour, reflecting the importance of the customer-facing responsibilities coupled with the physical demands of the job. The company places a high priority on safety and professional conduct, expecting associates to follow established safety procedures and actively contribute to a secure workplace. The ability to work in various environmental conditions and handle physical demands, such as lifting baggage weighing between 50 to 100 pounds and standing for extended periods, is essential for success in this position. The company honestly communicates that the job description is not exhaustive and retains the flexibility to modify duties or schedules as operational needs change, highlighting the dynamic nature of hospitality work.
As a part-time associate, there are opportunities for comprehensive benefits including access to medical plans, dental and vision care, paid holidays, time off benefits, and participation in a 401k retirement plan with company matching. There may also be occasional travel opportunities for training and company events. The company utilizes an Automated Employment Decision Tool (AEDT) to ensure an objective evaluation of candidates, focusing on key qualifications, experience, and competencies. This advanced hiring technology is part of the company's commitment to fair and consistent recruitment practices. They also ensure accessibility to all candidates by providing accommodations for disabilities during the selection process and comply with local employment laws such as NYC Local Law 144 concerning transparency around AEDT usage. This Guest Services Associate position offers a rewarding opportunity for individuals passionate about hospitality and excellent customer service, who are eager to contribute to a welcoming and supportive environment for guests and residents alike.
