Job Requirements

  • A valid driver's license
  • No prior traffic offences
  • High School diploma or equivalent
  • Minimum one year of previous experience in a large convention hotel environment
  • Ability to speak, read and write English fluently
  • Able to work a flexible schedule, including weekends and holidays
  • Excellent customer service skills
  • Excellent observation, communication, guest service, and report-writing skills
  • Neat appearance and upkeep of uniform

Job Duties

  • Greeting guests of the establishment
  • Assisting with unloading guests' luggage
  • Parking cars safely
  • Retrieving cars for guests in a timely manner
  • Ensuring that parked cars are locked and that keys are stored safely or returned to the owner
  • Greet all guests arriving and departing from the hotel with their vehicle needs
  • Park vehicles while following Standard Operating Procedures set by hotel standards
  • Complies with hotel standards, policies, and rules
  • Promotes and applies teamwork skills at all times
  • Notifies appropriate individuals promptly and fully of problems and/or unusual matters of significance
  • Is polite, friendly, and helpful to guests, management and fellow Team Members
  • Executes emergency procedures in accordance with hotel standards
  • Complies with required safety regulations and procedures
  • Attends appropriate hotel meetings and training sessions
  • Maintains cleanliness and excellent condition of equipment and work area
  • Recycles whenever possible
  • Remains current with hotel information and changes
  • Complies with hotel uniform and grooming standards
