The Valet Attendant role at Horseshoe is pivotal to the guest experience, serving as the first and last point of contact for visitors. This role requires receiving vehicles from guests with professionalism, carefully filling out parking tickets, and surveying vehicles to ensure safety and security. The attendant is responsible for retrieving cars from the parking area promptly and returning keys to guests with courtesy. This job demands working efficiently in all weather conditions while maintaining a polished and friendly demeanor. Being the face of Horseshoe valet services, the attendant must embody enthusiasm, strong interpersonal communication, and problem-solving abilities. Job Requirements
- Must have a high school diploma or equivalent
- Must have minimum two years customer service experience
- Must hold a valid operational driver's license with a clean driving record
- Ability to drive all types of vehicles including manual and automatic transmission
- Must be able to work in various weather conditions
- Must be physically able to lift up to 75 pounds and walk or stand for entire shift
- Must have strong interpersonal and communication skills
- Ability to maintain professional appearance and demeanor
- Must be able to speak, write and understand English
- Must be able to respond calmly and effectively in crisis or conflict situations
Job Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- One year previous experience as a Valet Attendant preferred
- Minimum two years customer service experience
- Operational driver's license with a clean driving record
- Ability to drive vehicles with both standard and automatic transmission
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
- Ability to work as part of a team and maintain a well-groomed appearance
- Self-starter with strong problem solving skills
- Fluent in English with excellent verbal communication
- Ability to remain upbeat and positive throughout the shift
Job Duties
- Receive vehicle from guest and fill out parking ticket correctly surveying vehicle
- Retrieve car from parking area and return key to guest
- Use the 10-5 rule by making eye contact and smiling at 10 feet and verbally acknowledging the guest at 5 feet
- Efficiently and accurately complete arrival and departure process for guests
- Provide courteous and friendly service ensuring guest satisfaction
- Maintain energy, enthusiasm, and willingness to serve throughout shifts
- Drive all vehicle types safely in accordance with state laws
