Job Requirements

  • Must be at least 19 years old
  • minimum 3 years driving experience
  • high school diploma or GED certificate
  • excellent spoken and written English skills
  • ability to interact positively with guests and coworkers
  • must be physically capable of running/jogging for over 50% of shift
  • able to lift and/or move up to 65 pounds
  • ability to drive manual and automatic transmission vehicles
  • maintain Alcohol Awareness Card
  • produce valid driving record annually
  • able to work part-time
  • able to adhere to safety and security standards

Job Qualifications

  • Previous valet experience preferred
  • must be 19 years of age with 3 years driving experience
  • high school diploma or GED certificate
  • excellent communication skills both written and oral
  • fluent in English
  • possess interpersonal skills to deal effectively with business contacts and employees at all levels
  • ability to resolve problems and conflicts in a diplomatic and tactful manner
  • ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts and draw valid conclusions
  • ability to interpret and follow instructions in written, oral, diagram or schedule form
  • ability to drive and operate manual and automatic transmission vehicles
  • must obtain and maintain Alcohol Awareness Card
  • must produce acceptable driving record annually

Job Duties

  • Open hotel main doors and assist guests/visitors entering and leaving the property
  • assist guests with opening/closing vehicle doors
  • welcome guests and visitors with appropriate greetings
  • acknowledge and greet guests within 25 to 30 seconds and provide professional, fast and friendly service
  • communicate parking procedures to guests/visitors
  • tag guest vehicle keys with date and time, registration number, make/model, room number or contact number
  • verify guests ticket with the one attached to the key before handing over keys or vehicle
  • park and retrieve guests cars without causing damage
  • drive and operate manual and automatic transmission vehicles
  • provide guests with information regarding property facilities, amenities, services, special events
  • give fond farewell to all departing guests as per standards
  • monitor and direct personal and commercial vehicle traffic including taxis, limousines, buses and rideshare
  • maintain security of vehicles, belongings inside cars, and vehicle keys
  • follow up with guests to ensure their requests or problems have been met
  • document and report vehicle incidents like damages, accidents, theft, missing articles
  • report accidents, injuries, unsafe work conditions
  • monitor and maintain safety, security, cleanliness of parking areas, portico and key booth
  • re-route traffic when parking reaches maximum capacity and inform staff
