Job Description
Towne Park is a leading hospitality services company dedicated to creating exceptional guest experiences through outstanding service. The organization specializes in valet parking and guest service solutions, catering to millions of patients, visitors, and guests across various locations. Towne Park takes pride in its commitment to making a positive impact on the lives of individuals by offering compassionate and reliable services that ease anxiety and create memorable moments. The company is recognized for fostering an inclusive work culture where employees find satisfaction not only in a job but in making a difference. Towne Park supports its workforce with competitive compensation and a comprehensive benefits package, reinforcing its dedication to employee well-being and growth.
The Valet Parking Attendant role at Towne Park, specifically at the Des Moines Marriott, is an exciting opportunity for individuals looking to begin or continue careers in hospitality services without needing prior experience. This part-time position, offering 20 to 24 hours per week primarily on weekdays, provides an hourly wage starting at $15 plus daily cash tips ranging from $4 to $7 per hour. Valet attendants are entrusted with the responsibility of delivering exceptional hospitality by greeting guests warmly, parking and retrieving vehicles safely, and assisting with luggage handling. Attention to detail, courteous communication, and adherence to safety protocols are key aspects of the role.
The position involves direct interaction with guests, requiring a professional, friendly demeanor and the ability to provide information about the hotel’s amenities and local attractions. Employees handle critical operational duties such as issuing claim checks, managing vehicle information accurately, and ensuring swift and safe vehicle movement within the parking system. This job demands physical stamina as attendants work outdoors for extended periods, often in variable weather conditions, and perform tasks that include lifting and movements that require balance and coordination. Towne Park values its associates' physical ability to meet these demands, yet offers reasonable accommodations when needed.
This role is not only a pathway to gain valuable experience in the hospitality industry but also a chance to contribute to a positive customer experience that reflects Towne Park’s mission to create smiles every day. Employees also have access to benefits such as medical, dental, and vision insurance for full and part-time workers, along with options for accident, critical illness, hospital indemnity insurance, telemedicine services, and a 401k retirement plan. While seasonal and temporary employees may not be eligible for all benefits, the company supports long-term career growth and offers consistent training to help team members excel.
Working as a Valet Parking Attendant at Towne Park allows individuals to develop a range of skills—from customer service and communication to operational efficiency and safety adherence—while enjoying a supportive environment that values attention to detail and a strong work ethic. Towne Park is a place where employees can take pride in their work, make meaningful connections with guests, and build a rewarding career in the hospitality sector.
