Job Description

Parking Veterans is a dedicated valet service provider specializing in delivering exceptional valet parking experiences primarily for patients at Veterans Affairs (VA) hospitals. Understanding the unique needs of veterans and their families, the company prides itself on offering reliable, respectful, and professional services that enhance the visiting experience for these valued customers. With a strong commitment to military service members, Parking Veterans upholds a culture of respect, professionalism, and meticulous attention to safety and customer service, ensuring that every interaction reflects the company's mission to serve those who have served our country. The company operates in a dynamic environment requiring attentive and courteous valet attendants who can handle the demands of busy medical facilities with care and efficiency.

The valet parking attendant position at Parking Veterans is a crucial role that directly impacts the quality of service provided to VA hospital patients. This role involves welcoming patients and visitors, inspecting vehicles for safety, managing the parking and retrieval of vehicles, and maintaining the operational setup of valet stations. Ideal candidates will demonstrate outstanding customer service abilities, a professional demeanor, and excellent driving skills with both manual and automatic transmission vehicles. A valid driver’s license with a clean driving record—defined as no more than one point and no DUI—is essential, reflecting the company's emphasis on safety and responsibility.

Candidates should have reliable transportation to designated work sites and be available for weekday shifts. Military experience, particularly U.S. veterans, is strongly preferred, aligning with Parking Veterans' mission to support and employ those who have served in the armed forces. The role requires standing for extended periods, navigating work sites safely under various weather conditions, and effectively communicating with customers and team members in English.

This opportunity offers flexible employment options with both full-time and part-time statuses available, accommodating a variety of applicant needs. Attendants will be involved not only in the physical aspects of parking vehicles safely and efficiently but also in maintaining a high standard of customer interaction. Tasks include greeting and assisting customers, inspecting vehicles upon arrival, accurately distributing claim tickets, and managing valet equipment such as podiums and signs. The position requires attentiveness, reliability, and a friendly yet professional attitude to foster a welcoming atmosphere for hospital visitors.

Parking Veterans is an equal opportunity employer committed to diversity and compliance with federal anti-discrimination laws. The company welcomes applicants without regard to race, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity, religion, color, national or ethnic origin, age, disability, military service, covered veteran status, or genetic information. This commitment ensures a respectful and inclusive work environment for all employees. The position requires physical stamina, including the ability to stand and walk for lengthy periods and operate safely in both hot and cold climates. The role demands alertness and visual acuity to inspect vehicles and equipment properly while performing duties in sometimes heavy traffic conditions.

Overall, the Valet Parking Attendant role at Parking Veterans offers a meaningful employment experience where individuals can contribute to the smooth operation of key parking services in support of veterans receiving medical care. This position aligns with candidates who are committed to customer service excellence, safety, and teamwork in a healthcare-adjacent environment, with the added reward of supporting a veteran-focused organization.
