The role of Valet Parker at The Lodge at St. Edward is an exciting opportunity for individuals looking to hit the gas on a rewarding career path in hospitality. The Valet Parker serves as the face of the guest experience by greeting visitors with warmth, efficiently parking and retrieving vehicles, driving shuttles, and assisting with luggage delivery. As a critical support role to the Front Desk team, the valet contributes significantly to creating seamless, memorable guest experiences that reflect the high service standards of Columbia Hospitality and The Lodge at St. Edward.

This position offers an hourly pay rate of $21, with eligibility for advantages such as daily pay, tip pooling, paid time off, holiday pay, and comprehensive benefits including medical, dental, vision, disability, 401K plans, and more. The Valet Parker must be 21 or older with a strong driving record, capable of paralleling parking, driving manual transmissions, and equipped with solid verbal communication skills. They must maintain an impeccable, well-groomed appearance while ensuring the safety and security of guests, their vehicles, and team members in all weather conditions. Duties include greeting guests upon arrival, assisting with luggage, delivering suitcases and packages, driving shuttles, and even aiding with de-icing and windshield clearing during inclement weather. Job Duties

  • Parks and retrieves guest cars in a safe manner and in accordance with hotel standards
  • Delivers suitcases, packages and documents as requested
  • Keeps record of calls for service
  • Greets guests at front door or car upon arrival
  • Escorts incoming and outgoing hotel guests to and from rooms, assists with luggage, and offers information pertaining to available services and facilities of hotel, points of interest, and entertainment attractions
  • Assists in de-icing of pavement, sidewalks, and other areas as applicable
  • Removes ice from guests' windshields, provides umbrellas as necessary
  • Maintains the image of the hotel by appearing extremely presentable, well-groomed and in pressed uniform
  • Maintains safety and security of guests and team members at all times, and in all weather conditions in regard to the valet parking areas
  • Drives shuttles as needed
