The role available is that of a Valet Attendant, a key position within the hotel's front-of-house operations. The Valet Attendant is responsible not only for parking and retrieving vehicles but also for providing exceptional guest service that aligns with the hotel's standards. Job Requirements
- high school diploma or equivalent
- valid driver's license
- ability to operate vehicles safely and efficiently
- good physical condition to handle duties including assisting with luggage and standing for extended periods
- strong communication skills
- availability to work flexible hours including nights, weekends, and holidays
- ability to follow hotel policies and procedures strictly
- capable of maintaining professionalism and a positive attitude at all times
Job Qualifications
- high school diploma or equivalent
- previous experience in valet or customer service preferred
- excellent interpersonal and communication skills
- ability to handle guest inquiries and complaints professionally
- basic knowledge of vehicle maintenance beneficial
- ability to work under pressure and remain calm in emergency situations
- trustworthy and reliable with a strong commitment to guest safety and satisfaction
Job Duties
- maintain complete knowledge of and comply with all departmental, divisional and hotel policies, procedures, and standards
- maintain complete knowledge of correct maintenance and use of equipment and use equipment only as intended
- anticipate guests' needs, respond promptly and acknowledge all guests regardless of time or busy level
- always maintain positive guest relations
- be familiar with all hotel services, features and local attractions to respond accurately to guest inquiries
- resolve guest complaints ensuring guest satisfaction
- monitor and maintain cleanliness, sanitation, and organization of assigned work areas
- greet arriving guests and visitors using an appropriate welcome and bid farewell to departing guests and visitors inviting them to return
- assist guests and visitors into and out of their vehicles
- communicate parking procedures to guests and visitors
- assist guests with loading and unloading luggage
- provide legible claim tickets for luggage
- take possession of and park vehicles
- document location of parked vehicles and any visible damage
- ensure security of vehicles and keys
- hold vehicles at hotel entrance areas ensuring driveways are kept clear and no vehicles are parked illegally
- answer department telephone within three rings using correct greeting and telephone etiquette
- document phone requests for retrieving vehicles
- receive and validate vehicle claim tickets
- retrieve guest vehicles and release vehicles upon proper authorization
- wash vehicles upon guest request
- relay accurate directions regarding local destinations
- monitor parking areas and report safety hazards or security issues
- follow designated procedures for vehicle accidents, breakdowns, and incidents
