The role of Valet Driver at Towne Park's facility, specifically at Guest House @ Graceland, is a part-time position designed for individuals who enjoy interacting with guests and providing high-quality hospitality services. The Valet Driver is responsible for parking and retrieving guest vehicles in a safe and timely manner, demonstrating attentiveness and efficiency while ensuring the best possible guest experience. This position does not require prior experience, making it an excellent opportunity for candidates new to the valet or hospitality industry. The role includes responsibilities such as assisting guests with luggage, door assistance, providing information about the facility and local attractions, and handling parking logistics like issuing claim checks and revenue collection. Open availability is preferred to accommodate the part-time, second shift schedule from Friday through Sunday.

Compensation for this position starts at $15 to $18 per hour with the potential to earn cash tips daily, reflecting Towne Park's commitment to fair and competitive wages. Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or general education degree
  • Valid driver’s license
  • One month related experience and/or training or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Ability to read and write standard English
  • Ability to comprehend simple instructions and correspondence
  • Ability to perform basic arithmetic operations
  • Ability to operate a manual transmission is highly desirable
  • Open availability preferred

Job Qualifications

  • High school diploma or general education degree
  • Must hold a valid driver’s license for the state or within a commutable distance
  • One month related experience and/or training or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Knowledge of principles and processes for providing customer and personal services
  • Ability to read and write standard English
  • Ability to comprehend simple instructions, correspondence and memos
  • Ability to write simple correspondence
  • Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations
  • Ability to add and subtract three-digit numbers and multiply and divide with 10's and 100's
  • Ability to perform calculations using American money
  • Ability to understand 24 hour and military time systems
  • Ability to understand rates applicable to time passed
  • Ability to operate a manual transmission is highly desirable
  • Perform parallel parking

Job Duties

  • Maintain pleasant, friendly and professional demeanor with all guests, co-workers and clients
  • Greet guests within five feet and use guest last names during interactions
  • Use salutation of the day and welcome guests to the location
  • Practice proper Towne Park phone etiquette
  • Park and retrieve vehicles while driving slowly and cautiously
  • Assist guests with bell services and luggage storage as needed
  • Open all vehicle and hotel doors for guests
  • Assist guests with directions, taxis, reservations and other inquiries
  • Provide information about outlets, meeting rooms, amenities and area attractions
  • Deliver messages, items and guest amenities as requested
  • Shuttle guests to approved locations
  • Explain parking rates and retrieval procedures upon arrival
  • Issue claim checks after receiving vehicle keys and collect claim checks prior to issuing keys
  • Complete and maintain all ticket information including key tag, guest folio, vehicle location, damage survey and claim check receipt
  • Calculate and collect revenue for vehicles when needed
