This opportunity is for the position of Valet at ABM, a role ideally suited for individuals entering or re-entering the workforce with limited experience or education. The Valet position emphasizes delivering professional, courteous, and compassionate guest services by efficiently managing vehicle handling and parking operations. The role requires excellent communication skills to convey valet procedures, information, and directions to guests clearly and kindly, ensuring a positive customer experience. Valets are responsible for coordinating traffic flow and managing vehicles in compliance with safety regulations, including operating, parking, and retrieving both standard and automatic transmission vehicles while strictly obeying traffic laws and facility policies.
In addition to vehicle handling, the Valet position involves monitoring and addressing illegal parking, securing guest keys, and assisting guests with loading and unloading luggage or belongings. Candidates must be able to work in an outdoor environment under various weather conditions for extended periods. The role also requires handling cash payments, accurately reconciling and reporting daily revenue, and managing tip pools amicably among staff. The position demands strong attention to detail, integrity in handling payments and currency, and the ability to predict traffic flow peaks to schedule additional support when necessary.

Job Duties
- Coordinate traffic flow
- communicate valet procedure, information and directions clearly and effectively with guests
- understand and respond appropriately to basic customer and team member inquiries
- monitor illegal parking and immediately store vehicles
- interact with guests in a friendly manner
- assist guests with loading and unloading
- collect and secure guest keys
- predict and communicate traffic flow peaks and lot issues
- identify and arrange for extra support for extended wait times
- accurately tally and split the tip pool
- receive and receipt a variety of valet payments
- accurately reconcile and report daily revenue
- project currency and coin requirements and re-order as necessary
- operate, park and retrieve all vehicles in a safe manner by obeying all traffic laws, facility policies, and applicable pedestrian regulations
- work in an outdoor unprotected environment in all climates for extended periods of time
- keep work area clean of debris
