The Valet position at ABM is an entry-level opportunity ideal for individuals just entering the workforce or those returning with limited experience and education. This role is essential in providing professional, courteous, and compassionate guest services focused on efficient traffic flow and exceptional customer interaction. As a Valet, you will be responsible for coordinating traffic, communicating procedures clearly to guests, and ensuring the safe operation of vehicles. The position demands an understanding of customer and team member inquiries, monitoring parking regulations, and managing vehicle storage. Additionally, you will assist guests with loading and unloading, collect and secure guest keys, predict traffic flow and potential lot issues, and effectively handle valet payments while reconciling daily revenue.
The role requires working outdoors in various climates and maintaining a clean work environment. It is best suited for individuals with a valid driver's license capable of passing a motor vehicle record check. Experience operating both manual and automatic transmissions is preferred but not mandatory. Job Requirements
- Must be 18 years of age
- must possess a valid driver's license and pass MVR
- able to operate both standard and automatic transmissions (preferred)
- able to work outdoors in all climates for extended periods
- physical ability to lift up to 50 pounds
- must pass a 10 panel drug screen for controlled substances
- must complete physical examination
- must provide MMR titer
- must have hepatitis B vaccine series or signed declination
- must receive flu shot (October 1 through April 30)
- must complete PPD skin test (2-step)
- must have history of chicken pox or varicella vaccine shot

Job Duties
- Coordinate traffic flow
- communicate valet procedure, information and directions clearly and effectively with guests
- understand and respond appropriately to basic customer and team member inquiries
- monitor illegal parking and immediately store vehicles
- interact with guests in a friendly manner
- assist guests with loading and unloading
- collect and secure guest keys
- predict and communicate traffic flow peaks and lot issues
- identify and arrange for extra support for extended wait times
- accurately tally and split the tip pool
- receive and receipt a variety of valet payments
- accurately reconcile and report daily revenue
- project currency and coin requirements and re-order as necessary
- operate, park and retrieve all vehicles in a safe manner obeying all traffic laws, facility policies, and applicable pedestrian regulations
- work in an outdoor unprotected environment in all climates for extended periods of time
- keep work area clean of debris
