Job Description

SP+, a Metropolis company, is a leading artificial intelligence company dedicated to transforming real-world experiences through innovative computer vision technology. Specializing in checkout-free parking solutions, SP+ eliminates the traditional hassles associated with parking such as dealing with tickets, machines, apps, or credit cards. Instead, SP+ provides a seamless "drive in and drive out" experience by leveraging advanced AI technologies to streamline vehicle entry and exit processes. As the largest parking network in America, SP+ currently employs over 23,000 team members and operates at more than 4,000 locations across North America and Europe. This extensive network underlines the company's commitment to significantly improving mobility and parking infrastructure on a broad scale.

SP+ is constantly reinventing parking because it recognizes the vital role that parking plays in our daily lives—it's a ubiquitous necessity that affects countless people every day. The company’s vision extends beyond parking; SP+ aims to power checkout-free experiences wherever people live, work, and play. Through its technology, SP+ hopes to give people back their most valuable asset: time. This vision reflects the company’s forward-thinking ethos and dedication to improving urban living and accessibility.

The role of Valet Dispatcher at SP+ is integral to the successful operation of its parking services. As a Valet Dispatcher, you will be the pivotal coordinator who manages the parking and retrieval of guest vehicles by directing Valet Attendants effectively. This role involves securing and keeping track of vehicle keys, ensuring accuracy and security in the process. Your coordination efforts will directly impact the experience of guests by minimizing wait times and enhancing customer satisfaction. You will also play a vital part in handling valet fees when applicable, managing communication with customers through professional telephone etiquette, and assisting with general customer service issues in a prompt and courteous manner.

Additionally, the Valet Dispatcher will provide customers with clear information about valet rates and local navigation, adding value through knowledge of major streets, landmarks, and freeways around the parking locations. The position also involves liaising with supervisors and managers by reporting any incidents, policy violations, or unusual occurrences to ensure safety and compliance. Further responsibilities include maintaining the cleanliness and orderliness of the garage office area and supporting supervisors with additional duties as needed.

SP+ values punctuality, professional appearance, and a neat uniformed presentation for all employees, ensuring a consistent and professional brand image. The role requires adaptability and common sense to manage unexpected changes, delays, or customer concerns effectively. Physically, the job entails frequent position changes between sitting and standing and requires clear communication skills, particularly over phones and radios. The Valet Dispatcher position offers a starting hourly wage of $16.30 and includes eligibility for comprehensive benefits such as medical, dental, vision, flexible spending accounts, disability coverage, life insurance, accident insurance, 401k retirement plans, and paid time off.

By joining SP+, you become part of a diverse and inclusive workforce committed to equality and fairness, offering a dynamic work environment where technological innovation meets exceptional customer service. This is an exciting opportunity to contribute to a pioneering company that is not only shaping the future of parking but also enhancing daily experiences for millions of people worldwide.
