The valet attendant position available in the (City) market represents an exciting opportunity to join the InterPark team. This role is dedicated to managing the parking and retrieval of customer vehicles, ensuring a seamless and positive customer experience. Valet attendants may operate vehicles with both automatic and manual transmissions, maneuvering them within confined spaces such as underground facilities, surface lots, and multi-level parking garages. The job often involves working in environments such as hotels and restaurants, where attendants collect vehicles at the customer’s location and transport them to a secure remote parking area before returning the vehicle when the customer is ready. Paid at a rate of $16.45 per hour, this role demands attentiveness, safety awareness, and an excellent customer service mindset.
Valet attendants are expected to maintain quick turnaround times when returning to workstations to support smooth customer flow. Job Requirements

- Must have unrestricted authorization to work in US
- Must be at least 18 years old
- Valid driver's license
- Depending on location, may require a valid driver's license from the state in which the employee works
- Must be willing to pass a math test as part of the selection process
- Must be willing to submit to a drug, background investigation and MVR/Driving Record check as part of the selection process
- Must be willing to work out of the (City, State) area
- Must be willing and able to work outdoors and be exposed to all types of weather elements
- Must be able to stand for extended periods of time
- Must be able to walk to or move to assist customers in a timely manner
- in some cases, must be able to travel up and down parking garage ramps in order to assist customers and address garage issues
Job Qualifications
- Must know how to and be able to drive a manual and automatic transmission passenger vehicles
- Possess math skills sufficient to calculate time and money
- Must be able to understand verbal instructions and act accordingly in a timely manner
- High school diploma or GED
- Professional experience parking cars or working as a valet attendant
- Prior customer service industry experience
- Possess excellent communication skills in order to facilitate interactions with co-workers, superiors, and customers
- Possess strong time management skills and ability to perform in a fast-paced environment with high customer volume
- Positive attitude and strong customer focus
- Ability to grasp, push, scoop, and lift up to 50 pounds as needed
Job Duties
- Drives and maneuvers automatic and stick shift cars in confined, underground facilities, surface lots, or up and down parking garage ramps
- Returns to work stations quickly so as to facilitate optimal customer flow
- Handles each vehicle with care and attention, and follows all facility safety precautions
- Provides outstanding customer service by responding to customer needs, questions, and problems and/or complaints as quickly and efficiently as possible
- May assist customers in and out of vehicles
- Reports any accidents, hazards or maintenance requirements, or the presence of any suspicious individuals or activities immediately to the manager
- Remain vigilant for anything unusual or potentially threatening and inform management immediately
- Monitor work area and property for safety and security
- Recognize potentially dangerous situations and respond in the safest and most effective manner
- Participate in all safety and security trainings within the market
- On an exception basis, a valet attendant may be required to perform cashier duties or light garage maintenance duties
