The role of the Valet Cashier at Omni Dallas Hotel is a critical front-line position that ensures smooth and efficient valet parking transactions while maintaining the highest standards of guest service in a luxury hospitality setting. The valet cashier is responsible for processing payments with accuracy and professionalism, whether at the hotel front drive, cashier booths, office, or event pay stations. This position requires adept communication skills to greet and assist guests, provide clear instructions on valet procedures and pricing, and address any concerns promptly and courteously. Additionally, candidates must be capable of multitasking in a fast-paced environment, handling cash, credit/debit transactions, room charges, and using the hotel's POS systems seamlessly. Beyond transaction processing, the valet cashier supports valet operations by performing basic administrative duties, coordinating effectively with valet attendants and event staff, and upholding company security policies and event-specific protocols. Physical stamina is essential, as the role demands standing for extended periods and the ability to work outdoors under varying conditions, including during high-volume events. Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • prior experience in customer service or hospitality preferred
  • ability to handle cash and operate POS systems accurately
  • strong interpersonal and problem-solving skills
  • physical stamina to stand and work outdoors for long hours
  • flexible schedule availability
  • adherence to company security and operational policies

Job Qualifications

  • Must have excellent communication skills
  • previous customer service experience required, in hospitality strongly preferred
  • must be able to work well under pressure, in a fast-paced environment
  • must have flexible availability, including days, nights, weekends and holidays
  • ability to stand for extended periods, up to 8 hours, and work outdoors

Job Duties

  • Greet guests in a friendly and professional manner
  • answer questions and resolve basic customer concerns promptly
  • provide clear instructions to guests regarding valet procedures, pricing, and validations
  • accurately process valet parking payments using cash, credit/debit cards, room charges, and hotel POS systems
  • perform basic administrative tasks such as filing, data entry, reporting, and record-keeping
  • communicate with supervisors regarding discrepancies or issues
  • operate front drive podium, cashier booths, and portable pay stations
  • manage customer lines efficiently while maintaining accuracy and professionalism
  • adapt to high-volume, fast-paced event environments
  • coordinate with valet attendants and event staff to ensure smooth operations
  • follow event-specific procedures, schedules, and protocols
  • follow company security policies guidelines
  • maintain a clean and organized work area in all assigned locations
