Job Description

Hyatt is a renowned global hospitality company that believes deeply in the power of belonging and making people feel at home wherever they are in the world. Known for transforming trips into memorable journeys, encounters into rich experiences, and jobs into fulfilling careers, Hyatt is a leader in the hotel and resort industry. The company’s culture centers on inclusivity, individual celebration, and the strong conviction that hospitality is more than just a job – it's a career choice for those who genuinely care about serving others and creating lasting impressions. Hyatt provides a connected, sustainable, and people-first approach, offering its employees not only employment but opportunities to grow and shape their futures.

Located ideally across from the beautiful 40-acre California Capitol State Park in downtown Sacramento, Hyatt’s recently redesigned hotel offers an urban oasis complete with proximity to Capitol Mall, the Crocker Art Museum, and the Old Sacramento Waterfront. Guests enjoy luxurious amenities like an expansive resort-style pool deck, exquisite dining next to an outdoor fireplace, and breathtaking city skyline views from their guest rooms.

The role of Valet Cashier at Hyatt’s Sacramento hotel is an hourly position with a competitive pay rate of $22.51 and significant benefits. This key position plays an essential role in delivering exceptional customer service by handling valet parking transactions efficiently and accurately, ensuring guests’ satisfaction from arrival to departure. The Valet Cashier works closely with valet attendants and front desk teams to coordinate services, manage cash handling, and provide guests with clear information about parking policies, fees, and hotel amenities.

This position also requires the individual to assist with valet services as needed, maintain accurate records of transactions, prepare reports, and uphold the cleanliness and organization of the cashier’s workstation. Safety and security of guest vehicles and belongings are paramount, making adherence to established key management and vehicle retrieval procedures mandatory. This role demands excellent interpersonal skills, attention to detail, strong communication, and the ability to multitask in a dynamic, fast-paced hospitality environment.

Hyatt encourages a work environment where employees are supported through comprehensive benefits such as free room nights, discounted rates for friends and family, medical, prescription, dental, and vision insurance, a 401K plan with company match, paid vacation and personal leave, adoption assistance, tuition reimbursement, free colleague meals during shifts, an employee stock purchase plan, and exclusive discounts with popular retailers like Apple, AT&T, and Verizon. The company also values diversity and is an equal opportunity employer, committed to providing equal consideration regardless of race, color, religion, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity, national origin, disability, or veteran status.
