The Valet Captain role at Omni Dallas Hotel is essential in representing the hotel at the main entrance, creating a warm and welcoming atmosphere for guests right from their arrival. This position is responsible for maintaining smooth driveway traffic flow to ensure the main hotel entrance remains accessible and safe for guests as they load and unload luggage. In addition to traffic management, the Valet Captain provides personalized luggage assistance, enhancing the overall guest experience. Serving as a key point of contact for visitors, the Valet Captain embodies the hotel’s standard of superior guest service through engaging interactions and efficient coordination with valet staff and bellpersons.

This role involves overseeing valet staging to maximize guest satisfaction, coordinating activities in the drive area, conducting key audits at shift-end, and maintaining cleanliness and orderliness of the front-of-house work areas. The Valet Captain communicates important guest arrivals to the front desk and guest services teams and assists with baggage handling for departing guests to ensure a seamless transition during departure. This position demands a high level of professionalism, excellent customer service skills, the ability to multi-task in a dynamic environment, and physical capability for lifting and standing for long durations. Applicants must hold a valid Texas driver's license, have an excellent driving record, and be able to operate both manual and automatic transmission vehicles. The job involves working flexible hours including days, evenings, weekends, and holidays, and requires successful completion of drug screening and motor vehicle record background checks.

Job Requirements

  • Must be at least 21 years of age
  • Must have an excellent driving record
  • Must be able to drive manual and automatic transmission vehicles
  • Ability to lift 50 lbs frequently and stand for long periods
  • Must be able to work days, evenings, weekends and holidays
  • Must be willing to undergo a drug screen and MVR background check

Job Duties

  • Provide our guests with an exceptional arrival and departure experience that makes them feel welcome
  • Engages the guest to provide superior guest service
  • Ensures the valets are staged to maximize the guest experience
  • Manages the traffic at the front of the hotel
  • Coordinates activity in the drive with the Bellpersons to ensure timely delivery of luggage and Valet of guest vehicles
  • Conduct key audit with the Valet team at the end of each shift
  • Maintains the cleanliness of the front of the hotel
  • Notifies the Front Desk and Guest Services of VIP arrivals whenever possible
  • Loads the baggage in the cars or taxis for departing guests
  • Maintains a clean and orderly appearance of the work area at all times
  • Other duties as assigned
