Job Description
Encore Service Group is a leading healthcare-focused service provider that specializes in integrating healthcare and hospitality to create exceptional experiences for patients, guests, and healthcare staff. Founded with the belief that healthcare and hospitality should go hand-in-hand, Encore Service Group operates throughout Michigan and Ohio, delivering a wide range of services including non-emergency medical transportation, shuttle services, valet parking, porter services, service excellence consulting and coaching, parking and garage management, and welcome desk and concierge services. The company is 100% dedicated to serving the healthcare industry, making it a trusted partner for hospitals and medical facilities aiming to enhance patient satisfaction and operational efficiency. Encore Service Group is committed to making a lasting positive impression on everyone they encounter, promoting a culture of care, respect, and professionalism across all their service offerings.
The role of Valet Attendant at Encore Service Group embodies this mission by providing vital support within a hospital setting. This is a part-time position requiring availability on Monday, Tuesday, and Wednesday from 1:00 PM to 9:00 PM, amounting to 24 hours per week with 8-hour shifts. The pay rate starts at $16.00 per hour plus tips, reflecting the value placed on customer service and professionalism. As a Valet Attendant, you will be the first point of contact for patients and visitors, delivering courteous and efficient valet services that enhance their overall experience. The role demands a detail-oriented, energetic, and compassionate individual who can maintain a positive attitude, communicate effectively, and respond swiftly to the dynamic needs of a hospital environment.
This position is physically active, requiring the ability to walk, run, and stand throughout the shift, often in varying weather conditions. It is ideal for retirees looking for part-time work or students seeking seasonal employment, offering a flexible and engaging work environment. Responsibilities include greeting patients, guests, and hospital staff warmly, managing vehicle parking and retrieval safely, washing windshields, and providing assistance with wheelchairs and strollers. The team-member is expected to uphold Encore Service Group's uniform policy and professional standards, ensuring a well-groomed and approachable appearance at all times.
Candidates must possess a valid driver’s license, a clean driving record, and pass a background check. Reliable transportation is essential to fulfill the duties efficiently. Given the healthcare setting, interpersonal skills such as empathy, friendliness, and a customer service orientation are crucial. Encore Service Group emphasizes teamwork and encourages valet attendants to actively seek opportunities to exceed customer expectations, contributing to a supportive and respectful workplace culture.
Full-time employees benefit from medical, dental, optical coverage, and paid time off after 60 days of full-time employment, highlighting the company’s commitment to employee well-being. Although this role is part-time and does not specify benefits, it offers an excellent opportunity to gain valuable experience in a healthcare-oriented hospitality position. Encore Service Group is seeking motivated individuals who are dependable, open to feedback, and eager to contribute to a positive hospital experience. The company invites applicants to submit updated resumes or personal paragraphs detailing their relevant work experience as part of the application process, ensuring candidates showcase their strengths and suitability for the role. Join Encore Service Group and become part of a company that values service excellence and compassionate care in the healthcare industry.
