The Guest Service Associate role at Towne Park is a dynamic and essential position responsible for ensuring unparalleled hospitality to guests. This role involves parking and retrieving guest vehicles with precision and care, assisting with luggage services, and providing valuable information to enhance the guest experience. The Associate acts as the first impression, greeting guests warmly with professionalism and courtesy, using their last names where possible to personalize interactions. The position requires a balance of patience, attention to detail, and safety, as the Associate will be entrusted with handling vehicles and managing the logistics of parking and retrieval efficiently. This role operates on a Monday through Sunday schedule, reflecting the continuous nature of hospitality services, with an hourly wage starting at $17.75 plus tips and an additional $1 shift differential for overnight work.

As a guest-facing ambassador of Towne Park, the Guest Service Associate plays a pivotal role in maintaining the company’s standards by adhering to safety protocols, providing clear communication about parking rates and procedures, and facilitating smooth vehicle transactions. Responsibilities also include directing guests, assisting with reservations, and delivering messages or amenities on behalf of the venue. Job Requirements

  • Must hold a valid driver’s license for the state you are applying to work, or within a commutable distance from the state you are applying to work
  • ability to read and write standard English language
  • ability to operate a manual transmission is highly desirable
  • ability to perform parallel parking
  • ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations
  • one month related experience and/or training or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • physical ability to perform job duties including lifting up to 100 pounds occasionally
  • willingness to work Monday through Sunday schedule
  • ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions

Job Qualifications

  • High school diploma or general education degree (GED)
  • one month related experience and/or training or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • knowledge of principles and processes for providing customer and personal services
  • ability to read and write standard English language
  • ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence and memos
  • ability to write simple correspondence
  • ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to guests, clients and other employees of the organization
  • ability to add and subtract three digit numbers and to multiply and divide with 10s and 100s
  • ability to perform these operations using units of American money
  • ability to understand 24 hour and military time systems
  • ability to understand rates applicable to time passed
  • ability to operate a manual transmission is highly desirable

Job Duties

  • Maintain pleasant, friendly and professional demeanor with all guests, co-workers, and clients
  • acknowledge and greet guests within five feet using guest last names
  • use salutation of the day and welcome guests to the location
  • practice proper Towne Park phone etiquette
  • post up in designated areas when not completing tasks
  • park and retrieve vehicles while driving slowly and cautiously
  • assist guests with bell services and luggage storage as needed
  • open all vehicle and hotel doors for guests
  • assist guests with directions, taxis, reservations and other inquiries
  • provide guests with information about outlets, meeting rooms and/or amenities of the facility as well as main attractions in the area
  • deliver messages, items and/or guest amenities as requested
  • shuttle guests to appropriate places that are approved by the location
  • explain parking rates and retrieval procedures to guests upon arrival
  • issue claim checks only after receiving vehicle keys and collect claim checks from all guests prior to issuing keys
  • consistently complete and maintain all ticket information including key tag, guest folio, location of vehicle, damage survey and claim check receipt from all vehicles taken into the valet system
  • consistently complete location on all key tags after parking vehicle
  • calculate and collect revenue for vehicles when needed
